studied Architecture, Philosophy and Fine Art in Darmstadt, Vienna, Paris and London. She graduated in Architecture at Technical University Vienna and in Fine Art at Chelsea College of Art and Design, London (MA, 2011). The same year, she was awarded the\u00a0Cass Prize for Sculpture<\/i>\u00a0and in 2014 the\u00a0Bursary Award<\/i>\u00a0from the Royal British Society of Sculptors in London. In 2015, she was nominated for the Berlin Art Prize.<\/p>\n
Gloria Zein’s works have been shown in numerous international group shows at institutions and private venues such as Hamburger Kunsthalle, Kunstverein Hannover, Kunsthaus N\u00fcrnberg, Zentrum f\u00fcr Aktuelle Kunst (ZAK) sowie nGbK und EIGEN & ART Lab in Berlin, OUTPOST Norwich (UK), 8th Biennale internationale d\u2019art contemporain de Melle\u00a0(<\/a>F), 14th Krasnoyarsk Museum Biennale (RU),\u00a0 Madrid Abierto (E), Kunsthal Viborg (DK) und Lithuanian National Gallery of Art in Vilnius (LT), just to name a few. Among others, she has held solo exhibitions at Galerie Sturm \/ N\u00fcrnberg and bb15 \/ Linz (A).<\/p>\n On invitation by Kunstverein Langenhagen (D) she realized in 2019 her site specific work Haltung(s)*echo<\/em>. In 2012, she was commissioned an extensive installation for the Goethe-Institut London on the occasion of its 50th anniversary, which is still on display on Exhibition Road. In 2016, she won the art-in-architecture competition for the UN-Campus in Bonn, that has been installed 2021. 2025 she was awarded the first prize for her sculpture “zwischen den Polen” which the jury recommended for realization in the competition ‘a sculpture for the Versailler Platz in Potsdam’.<\/p>\n In addition to her participation in public art competitions, she contributes as a juror. Gloria Zein lives (mostly) in Berlin.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n
\n2020 – 22 she was vice-chairman of the selection committee for Senate funded studio spaces in Berlin (Atelierbeirat des bbk-Berlin).\u00a0 Since 2025 she is part of the curatorial team of SKULPTURVEREIN Berlin.<\/p>\n
